Single Stream Recyclers
Single Stream Recyclers (SSR), a Balcones Resources company, operates 14 Sustainble Waste Systems Cortex ™ intelligent robotics systems—six single systems and four tandem robot systems—at its 100,000 square-foot facility in Sarasota, Florida.
SSR’s materials recovery facility (MRF) is designed to process up to 50 tons of recyclables per hour collected from residential and commercial sources. With robots, SSR is generating cleaner paper bales with higher yield, helping the MRF obtain above-average prices while increasing overall recycling rates of post-consumer fiber.
