Gale Clark

General Manager

Gale Clark is general manager of Smart Waste SystemsPhoenix Business Unit, which sources waste and recycling streams from various material providers to AMP facilities and sorts them to industry-standard specifications across recyclable materials including plastics, paper, and metals. He oversees the overall business, strategy, commercial operations, and growth.  

Clark has more than 20 years of experience in early- and late-stage companies setting corporate strategy and leading commercial teams in the US and overseas. Before joining AMP in 2021, he was vice president of development and origination at Brightmark, where he built and led the commercial and development team deploying an innovative plastic recycling technology. Earlier in his career, he had leadership roles at various leading energy and sustainability companies such as First Solar, Schneider Electric and, before that, at the Boston Consulting Group. He started his career serving in the US Navy as a submarine officer. Clark holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from the US Naval Academy.
